Travel Day and Hotel Check in:
My day began as I traveled to New York a day before my flight to Dubai from JFK airport. Then the next morning I took a cab to the airport and once I arrived at the Emirates Airlines counter, they had several staff members to assist with getting your luggage tagged and checked in with your boarding passes.
Then I proceeded to wait until my group was called to board. I purchased a ticket for premium Economy Class. And let me tell you, best decision I ever made. As much as I would have loved to have business class. Premium Economy was a step up from regular Economy. I had so much leg room a leg rest to elevate my legs and my feet. Plus, that seats were wide and comfortable.
Now my experience on the flight was great, I had a window seat and had room to feel like I wasn't stuck. You can take a look at this video of what Emirates has to offer for their flights. Click the link here.
Also, you are provided with a pillow for your head, a complimentary blanket, and a toiletry bag with a sleep mask, and a pair of socks. Plus, the food. OMG the food. For airplane food it was pretty good. I received 2 meals and snacks, constant beverages including soft drinks, tea, coffee and wine. It was amazing. Check out my pics from my flight.
I’ve just landed in Dubai after 13 hours in the air and settled into the incredible Westin Mina Seyahi Beach Resort. This marks the start of a week-long adventure through one of the most exciting cities in the world!
I explored my resort today and got footage of the various restaurants and hotel lobby and bar area!! I also visited the beach today. Yes, there are beaches in Dubai and the Westin is a Beachfront Resort!
